Wildflower River Retreat is a five bedroom, three bathroom, spacious kitchen/den combination with a large combination living room/dining room . The master is on the main floor with two queen size bed and large shower and Jacuzzi tub. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms with queen beds and a shared bathroom. On the other side of the house there are two bedrooms with twin beds in both rooms with a shared large bathroom in the hall with a washer and dryer. There is a lot of room for entertaining outside on the deck or located adjacent to the deck is a large courtyard area with a fire pit. Located just steps away is a large private covered dock with a boat slip. We also offer our guest house which is located next door and connected to the house by the large deck area. The Guest house has one bedroom and one full bath. There is a kitchen/dining area and a living room with a sleeper sofa. The guest house also has its own private deck that overlooks the river. Come relax and fish at our cottage on a gently slopping lot on the Little Red River, home of World Record Brown Trout! Walk into the shoals or fish from the deep wells off the private dock . We are a few minutes from public boat launches. Families will enjoy our fully furnished cottage with two bedrooms (1 Queen, 1 Double) new bathroom, and fully furnished kitchen. Enjoy the fire pit while grilling out on the grill. There is a screened in porch over looking the river when the weather may not cooperate. Most of our guests are more interested in the river than the lake...frigid water from the dam release feeds the Little Red with near perfect trout conditions. We are just a few miles downriver from the dam, but the winding woodland roads are blanketed by forests, so Paradise is always secluded and quiet. We are also conveniently less than a mile down the road from the Little Red River Trout Dock. Steps and platforms meander down from the cabin's woodsy back deck to the banks of the river. There is a large cleared area between the deck and river. It’s perfect for driving down the access road to fish right from your tailgate, with a small campfire ring, and open room to play for little ones. The world record German Brown Trout was caught within a half mile of the cabin and boat rental and fishing guide service are available right down the lane. Excellent fly fishing opportunities abound. With boating lane at our bank, and a rocky shoal leading all the way across to the river’s opposite shore, you have prime conditions for dam release levels or low water wading. Make certain to view pictures of lunker trout caught by 2011 guests within one-mile of the cabin, at Cow Shoals. The interior of the cabin is extremely comfortable with a bedroom and bathroom located in the loft. Downstairs bedroom has French doors opening onto the back porch with a wonderful view of the river. Both rooms have queen size beds. The dining area seats four, with room for more, and is open to the living room and TV. The loft above is hidden from view but open to the living room for TV and fireplace action. It’s great for kids that are safe on stairs, it makes a perfect gaming system station, and keeps the living room clutter and cord free. The couch is also a sleeper sofa. A cozy hearth surrounds the fireplace with easy propane logs, it is perfect for cool weather. The living room has French doors that open on to a screened in porch with a fridge/freezer in the corner for fish, and a bug free area for summer nights. It’s a good spot for tackle storage, with a screen door and loop lock separating it from the outside deck. Charcoal grill and extra deck furniture make the covered back porch and deck area perfect for gatherings, large or small, in any weather. This property is an easy drive from Little Rock or Memphis. From the custom-built cabin, you can enjoy all that nature has to offer including regular flyby visits from Bald Eagles, duck and deer as well as seasonal visits from Canadian Geese, Loon and Trumpeter Swans. There is also a comfortable, screened-in back porch overlooking the river. Our cabin provides you a rustic luxury retreat, fully furnished and ready to host eight (8) guests. On the main floor, guests will find two (2) bedrooms: a master with king bed and TV and a second bedroom featuring a queen bed overlooking the river. Downstairs also hosts a full bathroom, a living room and formal dining with seating for ten (10), and a fully equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher. Upstairs guests can enjoy a full bathroom and two (2) queen beds in the loft area. The backyard overlooks the river, has a charcoal grill and pathway leading to the private floating dock for fishing. The Chateau was designed by renowned Arkansas architect Eugene Pfeifer Levy. It's architectural details include soaring ceilings, massive windows, exposed beams, and amazing wide-plank pine floors. The Chateau's expansive windows offer spectacular views of the Little Red River. Three bedrooms (two kings and a queen) and three baths are located downstairs, each with a view of the river. A large fourth bedroom/bunk room (with six single beds) is located on the second floor. The master bedroom is immense. The master bedroom includes a separate seating area that looks out onto the Little Red River. The master bath has a very large soaking (jetted) tub, a separate shower, dual vanities and giant walk-in closet. We provide towels, wash clothes, make-up towels, and toiletries, as well as a hair dryer and a lighted make-up mirror. The Chateau's main kitchen is a gourmet cook's delight. The Chateau, however, also includes an extremely nice complete second kitchen and two large gathering rooms, each with its own fireplace. There is a large screened in porch and an enormous deck for taking in views of the river and relaxing outdoors. The lower deck (which includes a fire pit), and the private boat dock offer even more intimate views of the Little Red River and the setting's natural beauty. The Chateau's grounds are nothing short of spectacular. While the Chateau is a fisherman's dream (In May of 1992, the world record for a brown trout (40 pounds, 4 ounces) was caught nearby), it is much, much more. Guests can enjoy hiking Bridal Veil Falls, Sugarloaf Mountain, Collins Creek, or the Mossy Bluff Nature Trail, kayaking or paddle boarding on the Little Red River, water skiing or cliff jumping at Greer's Ferry Lake, playing golf at the Red Apple Inn & Country Club, spending an afternoon at the charming Ruland Train Museum, shopping at Ellen Hobgood Gallery in downtown Heber Springs. If you want to watch a movie, you'll enjoy the countless options offered by the Chateau's smart/streaming televisions. The Chateau's larger kitchen offers seating for 8 guests at the dining table, and an additional 8 guests (4 and 4) at the two kitchen countertops. In addition, 6 to 8 more guests can be seated and served at the teak table located in the screened-in (outdoor) porch just off the Chateau's primary kitchen/great room. Two more additional guests can be accommodated at the indoor teak root table in the great room. The Chateau's second kitchen offers seating for an additional 6 guests at the second kitchen/living area's dining table. After dinner, guests can enjoy a family game night! We offer a variety of card and board games that will entertain guests of all ages and interests. The Little Red River and our dock make for instant outdoor fun.
